The second annual Southern New England Golf Show turned out to be another success as almost 5,000 people visited the Expo on February 13-14.
“We actually had more people on Saturday than we did on Sunday”, said David Bodah from the Providence Boys and Girls Clubs, the beneficiary of the Expo.
Last year’s Show total was 5,100 patrons. There were 82 exhibitors (up from 51 last year) at the show and this year there were retail sales from Joe and Leigh’s of Easton, Mass. and the Rhode Island PGA that had a large area selling mostly soft goods from their respective pro shops.
Ocean State Golf held drawings every two hours for Masters towels and Ahead hats.
Winners announced were: Bob Nist, Jared Wetmore, Paul Picard, Marc Brassard, Phil Smith, Manda Spak and Michelle Gagnan.
All those who registered are still eligible for a SkyCaddie SG4 GPS system and foursomes at Blissful Meadows and Fenner Hill that will be announced at 3 p.m. on March 7 at the Boston Golf Expo.
All winners will be announced through an email on March 8.

I recently attended the golf expo at the convention center on Sunday, February 14 and it was more than i expected. I was very impressed with the people from golftec from Cranston. They hooked me up to a computer and taped my swing, which I have never seen before. It was a big help to me and I am sure the help will help my golf game this year greatly. The expo in my opinion was a great success.
